W. Kesner Obituary
Walter Harold "Buck" Kesner, age 83, of Maysville, WV passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg.
He was born November 10, 1933 in Pendleton County, WV and was a son of the late Walter Harvey Kesner and Leota Virginia (Kimble) Kesner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen June Snyder.
Mr. Kesner graduated from Petersburg High School in 1953. He worked for SCM Allied Egry and retired from Allegheny Wood Products. He was a charter member of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Company. He was a member of the Potomac Valley Mens Choir and also a member of Corner United Methodist Church, Cabins, WV.
"Buck" is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bernice (Coffman) Kesner, two sons, Brian (Joi) Kesner of Bowie, MD and Timothy (Pamela) Kesner of Mt. Storm, WV; three grandchildren, Cameron (Alycia) Kesner, Victoria and Rebecca Ilko; one brother, Ralph "Buddy" (Nan) Kesner of Petersburg, WV and Brenda Ann Ruddick of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Gerstell officiating. Interment will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV.
Memorials contributions may be made to Corner United Methodist Church, c/o Bernice Kesner, 2108 Haslacker Road, Maysville, WV 26833.
