Pauline A. Keplinger

Pauline Alice (Sears) Keplinger, age 94, of Maysville, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.
She was born December 31, 1922 in Maysville, WV and was a daughter of the late William Alston Sears and Bessie Jane Jermiah (Law) Sears.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis W. Keplinger on March 21, 1999; one great grandson, infant Skyler Rose; one brother, Neal Sears. She is the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Keplinger was a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 1941. She was custodian at Maysville Grade School for 23 years and was a former member of Maysville Fireman's Auxiliary. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and attended the Maysville United Methodist Church. She volunteered at the Grant County Nursing Home and was 1995 Volunteer of the year.

Pauline is survived by one son, Paul W. Keplinger and wife Sharon of Maysville, WV; three daughters, Geraldine Smith and husband Junior of Maysville, WV, Barbara Harris and husband Wayne of New Creek, WV and Betty Whetzel and husband Joe of Petersburg, WV; twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and sixteen great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Raines officiating. Interment will be in the Maysville Cemetery.
