Josephine Keplinger Obituary
Josephine Keplinger, age 94, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center, Petersburg, WV.
She was born on March 23, 1924 in Forman, WV and was a daughter of the late Gordon Dayton Secrist and Ruby (Coler) Secrist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl W. Keplinger on June 5, 1954; one grandson; Aaron Keplinger; three brothers, Arlie Secrist, Wayne Secrist and Jimmy Secrist ; one nephew, Christopher Mowry.
Mrs. Keplinger was an active faithful member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Petersburg.
Mrs. Keplinger is survived by her son, Curtis Keplinger and wife Connie of Petersburg, WV; grandson, Adam Keplinger and David Hish of Clifton, VA; and two great grandchildren, Avery and Aaron Keplinger; one sister, Kathleen Mowry of Petersburg, WV; sister-in-law, Dixie Secrist; six nephews, Jonathan Mowry, Swanson and Jay Secrist, Gordon, Greg and Matthew Secrist; one niece, Robin Secrist.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
Funeral service will be held on Monday 11 a.m. March 26, 2018 at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Nathan Epling officiating. Burial will follow in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aaron Keplinger Scholarship Fund, 102 North Main Street, Petersburg, WV 26847.
