Dewey S. Kimble

Dewey Sylvester Kimble, age 84, of Moorefield, WV passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

He was born August 25, 1933 in Smoke Hole, WV and was a son of the late Leslie Brison Kimble and Edna Jane (Landes) Kimble.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie (Ours) Kimble on October 26, 1991; his second wife, Anna Frankie Kimble; two sons, Donald L. Kimble and Derwin S. Kimble; one sister, Lois VanMeter; five brothers, Ora "Bill" Kimble, Evers Kimble, Curtis Kimble, Paul Kimble and James Kimble.

Dewey served in the United States Air Force. He was a life member of the Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454. He was a logger and worked for several construction companies including Moss Associates in Harrisonburg, VA. He retired from Hester Industries in Moorefield, WV.

Family will receive friends Friday, February 16, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, 11 a.m. February 17, 2018, at Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery with Military Honors by Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454.
