Beryle F. Hanlin

Beryle (Foley) Lockie Hanlin, age 86, formerly of Bayard, WV, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland, MD.

She was born May 2, 1931 in Mount Storm, WV and was a daughter of the late Walter C. Foley and Amelia (Entler) Foley.

In addition to her parents, Beryle was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Albert Lockie in 1978 and her second husband, Virgil W. Hanlin in 1987; one sister, Dorothy Hanlin.

Beryle was a loving mother and grandmother who loved being around people. She was a professional wrestler known as Princess Pocahontas. She was a hostess for Michelle's Night Club in Washington, DC where she met several celebrities. She also was a coalminer for 20 plus years and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. She loved farming and caring for her animals.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
A Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Liller officiating.

Interment will be in the Bayard Cemetery, Bayard, WV.

The Family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
