Agnes Takach Obituary
Agnes Marie (Shobe) Takach, age 93, of Petersburg, WV departed this life on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Grant Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and her caregiver, Sherry LaPointe.
She was born June 28, 1924 in Greensburg, PA and was a daughter of the late Joseph P. Bridge and Margaret O. (Carnes) Bridge.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Takach was preceded in death by her husbands, Brown F. Shobe in 1964 and Thomas A. Takach, Sr. in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ralph Calhoun; a brother-in-law, two grandchildren and her 21 year old cat Prissy.
Agnes was a homemaker and a caregiver.
Surviving are four daughters, Margaret A. "Peggy" Calhoun of Petersburg, WV; Diane (Charles) Kovalik of Canton, MI., Marcie (Brent) Yokum of Petersburg, WV, Eileen (Rege) Griffin of West Mifflin, PA; three sons, Thomas A. (Arleen) Takach, Jr.of Bethel Park, PA., Frederick J. "Rick" (Janice) Shobe of Petersburg, WV, Tony R. Shobe and companion, Peggy of Cullman, Alabama; one sister, Laverne Jennings of Pittsburgh, PA and thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Larry M. Cantu officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, WV.
Memorials may be made to Charity of the Donor's Choice.
