Yvonne Muntzing

Neva “Yvonne” Muntzing , age 78 of Martinsburg WV, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the HOSPIC Center in Martinsburg , WV.

Yvonne was born June 18, 1940, in Peterburg, WV and was the daughter of the late Brook and Virginia Muntzing of Scherr WV.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Maynard Muntzing who lived in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Ms. Muntzing is survived by one son LB Kline and wife Debbie Kline of Mt. Airy Maryland and three grandchildren; Jessica K. Veal, Bill Kline and Maddie Herald.  She is also survived by one daughter Kamela Kline Harbert and husband R. John Harbert of Middletown, DE and two grandchildren Spencer and Blake Harbert. 

Ms. Muntzing graduated from Petersburg High School where she was in the F.T.A., F.H.A., chorus, Viking Log club, Pep club, Literary club, performed in the junior and senior plays and was a part of the Annual Staff.  She was a member of the Brick Church in Maysville, and much of her childhood and teen years were devoted to 4-H.  Once she graduated from high school in 1959, she attended Bridgewater College in Virginia.  She then worked for 37 years, at the Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg WV, as a medical administrator’s assistant.   She had many passions in life like cooking, motorcycles, fast cars for her lead foot and most of a family. 

There will be a grave side service at the Maysville Cemetery on June 15 at 1:00pm, followed by a gathering of food and fellowship at Brick Church of Maysville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a contribution could be made to the Brick Church of the Brethren, 2099 Roby Rd., Maysville WV 26833.
