Stanley Lee Harman

    Stanley Lee Harman, age 72, of Dorcas, WV passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.  He was born November 3, 1945 in Macksville, West Virginia and was the son of the late Ellsworth Harman and Neva Lucille Hinkle Harman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Harman Berry and one brother, Tommy Harman.

     Stanley was a retired carpenter, mechanic and heavy equipment operator. 

     Stanley is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Harman of Dorcas, WV; two sons, Darrell L. Harman and wife Becky of Petersburg, WV and Jeremy L. Harman and wife Monica of South Carolina, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; five brothers, Boyd Harman of Sugar Grove, WV, Larry Harman of Baker, WV, Steve Harman of Dorcas, WV, Robert Harman of Sugar Grove, WV and Harold Harman of Rockville, MD.

     Stanley’s wishes were to be an organ donor and have his body cremated.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1 PM at the Memorial Church of the Brethren in Petersburg, WV with Bradley Thorne officiating.
