Robin S. (Hornyak) Jenkins

Robin Sue (Hornyak) Jenkins, age 57, of Petersburg West Virginia, and formerly of Baltimore, Maryland passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 10, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Robin was born August 9, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland and was the daughter of Michael Joseph Hornyak and Dottie Lou (Smith) Hornyak of Moorefield, WV.

In addition to her parents, Robin is survived by her husband and best friend of 29 years, Brian Shawn Jenkins; two sons, Jesse Edwin Hornyak and wife Jamie Raye (Reel) Hornyak, and Ryan Shawn Jenkins; one daughter, Becka Nicole Jenkins; one sister, Kerry Dawn (Hornyak) Ketterman; one great uncle, Orville Artennis Kight, of Eglon, WV; one uncle, Clifford Ray Smith, of Baltimore, MD; two aunts, Juanita Ruth (Smith) Roehl and Barbara Sue (Hornyak) Joyce, both of Baltimore, MD; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Robin was a devout Christian by faith, loving mother and wife, and enjoyed her daily bible reading. She was a private caregiver for many years and thoroughly loved helping others.

At Robin’s request, her body will be donated to West Virginia University Health Sciences for the advancement of science and will be cremated.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 4:00 PM, at the Moorefield Church of God with Daryl Dunsmore officiating.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to memorial service.
