Odell Linden Dettinburn, age 88 of Maysville, WV passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at his home. He was born May 2, 1931 in Maysville, WV and was the son of the late Thornton H. Dettinburn and Sudie (Rexrode) Dettinburn.
Mr. Dettinburn is survived by one son, Odell L. Dettinburn, Jr. of Maysville, WV; three daughters, Patricia A. Carson of Cross Lanes, WV, Lisa A. Kimble of Maysville, WV and Tonya M. Pennington of Maysville, WV; four grandchildren, Jason W. Kimble, Dakota S. Dettinburn, Kinsley D. Eversole and Pacee S. Pennington; four great grandchildren, Jazlynn P. Mowery, Gage D. Pennington, Stihl R. Eversole and Ryder S. Eversole.
Mr. Dettinburn served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a mechanic for several businesses in Petersburg including Simmons Auto Parts and retired from West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of Falls Assembly of God Church.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 2 – 4 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral service will be Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Falls Assembly of God Church with Pastor Vivan Watts officiating. Burial will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery with military honors by the Petersburg VFW Post 6454 and West Virginia Army Honor Guard.
