Mary Leota (Keplinger) Harman, age 96, of Maysville, WV passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Grant Memorial Hospital. She was born May 16, 1923 in Maysville, WV and was a daughter of the late Robert Keplinger and Bessie Almyra (Rohrbaugh) Keplinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harman in 1990; four sisters, Edith Davis, Vuelta Stonestreet, Kathleen Brogan and Dorothy Marsh; one brother, Harman Keplinger and nephew-in-law, Butch Michael. Mrs. Harman was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Harman was a member of Mt.Hebron United Methodist Church, Maysville, WV.
Mrs. Harman is survived by two nieces, Helen S. Nicol and husband Doug of Maysville, WV and Diane Michael of Maysville, WV. Great nephew, Jay Nicol and wife Sherry, two great nieces, Shana Nicol and Mendi Carr; three great-great nephews, Tyler Carr, and Isaiah Nicol and Josh Nicol and one great-great niece, Sadie Carr.
Family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Kile and Pastor Lynn Durbin officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery.
