Linda Lambert Obituary

 

Linda Kay (Cook) Lambert, age 66, of Petersburg, WV passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.  She was born November 28, 1952 in Petersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late James Otis Cook and Mary Catherine (Kimble) Cook.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Leroy Cook.

Linda is survived by her husband of 29 years, Russell G. Lambert, two daughters, Hadassah Lambert and Estella Lambert both of Petersburg, WV; mother-in-law, Martha Runions of Lahmansville, WV; one brother, Roger Cook and wife, Shirley of Maysville, WV; sister-in-law, Dee Flinn of Lahmansville, WV; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Lambert and wife Danita of Lahmansville, WV and James Lambert of Lahmansville, WV;  step grandfather, Edgar Reel, resident of Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center of Petersburg, WV;  two aunts and uncle, Harlan and Shirley Kimble of Oldtown, MD and Mildred Cook, resident of Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center, Petersburg, WV and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Linda graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1970 and attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA  for one year.  She worked in the Lab at Grant Memorial Hospital for several years.  She was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.  She was a foster grandparent for Petersburg Elementary School.  She was a loving wife, mother and was a caregiver to her mother for several years. 

Friends will be received from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Rich Cardot officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Maysville, WV.

Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, c/o Betty Rohrbaugh, Treasurer, 4304 Ridge Road, Maysville, WV  26833.
