Kurt L. Fox

Kurt Lester Fox, age 65, went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2019. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the beloved son of Madeline Kuykendall Fox of Moorefield, WV and the late Paul Fox.  In addition to his father, Kurt was preceded in death by his brother, Bryan Fox.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara Hall, brother Ron Fox & wife Kitty of Maryland, sons Joshua Fox of Pennsylvania, Justin Fox of Florida, Ryan Hall of Virginia Beach; daughters Joanna Pierce of Florida, Julia Curtis of Illinois, and Lindsay Hall of Virginia Beach. He was the proud “Poppy” of 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson and had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews he loved dearly. He never met a stranger and touched lives near and far with his corny humor and genuine love for people. He will be greatly missed by many.

Kurt pastored churches in Baltimore, MD, Fairmont, WV, Farmville, VA, Virginia Beach, VA and served as a Presbyter and Executive Presbyter for the Potomac District of the Assemblies of God. He was a mentor to many over the years and well known for having wisdom beyond his years. Later “Dr Kurt” became the founder of Ruach Ministries, Inc., author of the Higher Goals book series, and host of the Higher Goals program on Christian Television Network. A seeker of truth, he was known as a Christian Philosopher. He was passionate about the things of God and spoke locally and internationally sharing his insights. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity for his publications and deep level of spiritual revelation in understanding God’s mysteries.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Believers Victory Center, 160 Victory Lane, Moorefield, WV, with visitation at 11:00 a.m. and service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Believers Victory Center, 160 Victory Lane, Moorefield, WV  26836.
