Kenneth N. Boucher

Kenneth Nelson “Ken” Boucher, age 74 of Cabins, WV passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at his home.  He was born May 11, 1944 in St. Catherines Ontario, Canada.  He was a son of the late Nelson Joseph Boucher and Betty Marie (Mallette) Boucher.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Catherine Marie Boucher.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 54 years, Thelma Jean (Wratchford) Phares Boucher; 4 sons, Leon Foster Phares II of Petersburg, WV, Kenneth Nelson Boucher, II., Brian Keith Boucher and wife Kim of New Jersey and Nelson Joseph Boucher of Cabins, WV; 3 daughters, BettyJean Warner and husband John of Cabins, WV, Catherine Laura Nesselrodte and husband Mark of Petersburg, WV and Jaclyn Rose Kesner and husband James of Cabins, WV; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Linda Fels and husband Joe of New York; 3 brothers, Blake Brian Boucher and wife, Diane of New York, Nelson Joseph Boucher Jr. and wife Ruth of SC., Shane Boucher and wife Jackie of New York and several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth served in the United States Army during Viet Nam and was a dredge operator and truck driver.  He was a member of the NRA.  

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  A funeral service will begin at 1:00  PM Wednesday in the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Cosner and the Rev. Larry Hakes officiating.  Burial will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery with full military honors by the Potomac Highland VFW Post 6454 and West Virginia Army Honor Guard.
