Gwen (Judy) Bland

 Gwendolyn “Gwen” (Judy) Bland, age 77, of Petersburg, WV passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg.

She was born July 18, 1942 in Rough Run, WV and was a daughter of the late Willard Judy and Sarah Sue (Kite) Judy.  In addition to her parents, Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Bland, Jr. in 2008 and son, Arnold Vincent Bland in 2007. 

Gwen is survived by –

 One sister:  Jeanette (Kevin) Wright of Franklin, WV. 

One brother:  Roger (Wanda) Judy of Petersburg, WV

Six grandchildren:  Ryan M. Bland, Jordan N. Bland, Catherine N. Bland, Lauren N. Bland, Brandon N. Bland and Ian N. Bland.

Numerous nieces and nephews. 

Gwen graduated from Petersburg High School in 1960.  She retired from the U.S. Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. She was a member of Dorcas Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Dorcas Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Davis officiating.  

Inurnment will be private in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Potomac Highlands Wounded Warrior Outreach, P.O. Box 754, Franklin, WV 26807 or Dorcas Baptist Church.
