Genevia Berg Obituary

 

 Genevia Susan (Rohrbaugh) “Neva” Berg, age 88 of Maysville, WV passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her home.  

She was born October 9, 1930 at Jordan Run, WV and was a daughter of the late John Logan Rohrbaugh and Claudia Ann (Heavner) Rohrbaugh.  In addition to her parents, Neva was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gerald VanMeter.

“Neva” is survived by her husband of 73 years, David Berg; one son, Roy Berg and wife Mary of Maysville, WV; one daughter,  Shirley VanMeter of Petersburg, WV;  five grandchildren, Marty Berg, Dee Ann Barger, Todd Snyder, Stacey Snyder, Kelly Snyder; ten great grandchildren, Lucas and Emma Berg, Tayeha and Shalyn Barger, Jon, Parker and Nathan Snyder, Logan and Nicholas Wimer and Rebecca Snyder.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed helping her husband on the family farm. She was a caregiver for several years and a member of Cabins Assembly of God Church.

Friends will be received from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Friday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Coleman Clark officiating.  Burial will be in the Goldizen Family Cemetery on Jordan Run Road, Maysville, WV.

The family suggest that memorial donations may be made to Cabins Assembly of God Church, P.O.
