Eva L.. Ford

Eva L. Ford, age 93, of Petersburg passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. 

Eva was born on November 6, 1925 in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Louis Edwin Goodrich and Bessie Maud (Herbert) Goodrich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Smith Ford in 2005; one brother, Paul E. Goodrich, and one grandson, Jonathan Scott Ford. 

Mrs. Ford is survived by one son, George L. Ford Sr. and wife Bonnie of Front Royal, VA; three grandsons, George L. Ford Jr. and wife Sandy of Maysville, WV, Derek R. Ford of Portland, OH and Aaron S. Ford and wife Jamie of Fairmont, WV; one step-granddaughter, Shay Wyrick of Front Royal, VA; fourteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. 

Mrs. Ford was a longtime resident of Kissimmee, FL and was a homemaker as well as a lifelong avid collector of dolls and other collectibles.  She was a member of several doll clubs and she and her late husband were members of the 388th Bomb Group Association.  She enjoyed meeting and talking with people and especially loved to recount her experiences traveling in Germany and France with her late husband when they were stationed overseas immediately after World War II. 

A private ceremony is planned at a later date.  Interment will be alongside her late husband at the Veterans Administration Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
