Barbara Alt Obituary

Barbara Susan Alt, age 65 of Petersburg, WV passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was born July 26, 1953 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of Eulala (Shreve) Alt of Petersburg, WV and the late Stanley E. Alt.

Barbara is survived by her mother and two brothers, Neal Alt and wife Dixie of Winchester, VA and Don S. Alt and wife Karen of Petersburg, WV; one niece, Jenny Turner; three nephews, Shawn Alt, Scott Alt and Steven Alt; four great nieces and four great nephews; great-great niece; one aunt, Betty Ann Alt of Gambrills, MD and several cousins.

Barbara was a member of Gordon Chapel United Methodist Church and former member of Landes Ruritan Club.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 – 4 PM and 6 -8 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.

Funeral service will be Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor David Webb and Rev. Rita Beeman officiating. Interment will follow in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV.
