Allen Nesselrodt

Donald "Allen" Nesselrodt, age 54, of Capon Bridge, WV and formerly of Petersburg, WV went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. 

Allen was born November 2, 1964 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of Roger and Wanda (Riggleman) Nesselrodt of Maysville, WV. 

Allen married his high school sweetheart, Denise Kessel on September 16, 1988.  Allen and Denise are the parents of two children, Emily of Morgantown, WV and Evan of Capon Bridge, WV.  In February 2018, he became a granddad to Charlotte, whom he adored. Allen was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. 

Allen is also survived by his parents, Roger and Wanda Nesselrodt of Maysville, WV; his brother, Roger (Lori) Nesselrodt of Petersburg and his sister, Karen (John Paul) Hott of Arthur, WV; mother and father-in-law, Twila and Eugene Kessel of Maysville, WV; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. 

Allen was employed by Virginia Riggers Inc of Winchester, VA.  He was a certified skilled pipefitter welder which was his lifelong trade.  He was a member of the Winchester Church of God. 

Allen’s faith was an intricate part of his life.  He was a gentle, quickwitted man.  He gained a lot of respect and admiration from all who knew him. 

Allen’s greatest joy was his love of hunting and the outdoors.  He especially enjoyed the times he was hunting with his son Evan, his brother Roger, and nephews Nathan and Adam. 

Family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Petersburg Church of God with Pastor Darrell Waller officiating.  Interment will be in Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, WV.
