Peggy Ann Stump, age 74, of Moorefield, WV passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Her final days were spent at Grant Rehabilitation where she was cared for with the same love and attention that she had shown to others.
Peggy was born on January 26, 1950 in Moorefield, WV and was a daughter of the late Glenn Hiram Stump and Mary Virginia (Southerly) Stump.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Stump Sr., Johnny Stump, Glenny Stump and one sister, Wilda Reynolds.
Peggy is survived by her children, Gregory Stump of Moorefield, WV and Angel Stump of Moorefield, WV; one granddaughter, Kylah Rosier Dean and husband Bernard; great grandson, DeAndre Dean; two sisters, Frances M. Riggleman and husband Robert of Moorefield, WV and Margy Lee Wratchford, resident of Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center; one brother, Randall Stump Sr. and wife, Jenny of Moorefield, WV and several nieces, nephews and special friends and caregivers, Lora Greenwalt, Carol Watts, Glenda Bolyard, Polly Greenwalt, Blondi Turner and Sandy Wille.
As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Peggy’s legacy is one of unconditional love. She was a woman whose life was as vibrant and nurturing as the gardens she so lovingly tended. Her dedication to her flowers and dog, Bailey was a testament to her patience and nurturing nature. Her memory will continue to inspire kindness in others.
Peggy retired from Clary Street Learning Disability Center in Keyser, WV. During those 25 plus years, Peggy’s thoughtfulness was reflected in the countless ways she supported and uplifted those she worked with.
