Mary Virginia McCulloh, age 90 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg.
Virginia was born on April 26, 1933 in Westernport, Maryland and was a daughter of the late Francis DeSales Cowatch and Mary Elizabeth (Mills) Cowatch.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. McCulloh in 2010, one daughter, Suzanne McCulloh, five sisters and three brothers. Virginia was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Virginia is survived one daughter Deborah M. Judy and husband J. David Judy of Moorefield, WV; one son H. Richard McCulloh of Petersburg, WV one grandson, John David Judy and wife, Rachel of Morgantown, WV; two great grandchildren, Reed Judy and Calvin Judy; sister-in-law, Nancy Determan of Timonium, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a 1951 graduate of St. Peter’s High School in Westernport, MD. In 1954 she graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Cumberland, MD. Virginia was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Petersburg and was a member of various civic and church organizations while raising her family in Petersburg.
The funeral service will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 2 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with Pastor Cheryl George officiating.
Virginia’s family will receive friends from 12 Noon till time of service at 2 PM.
Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
