Wilda B. Kimble

Wilda (Barr) Kimble, age 86, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Grant Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born July 4, 1930 in Grant County, WV and was a daughter of the late Edward Lee Barr and Hazel Elizabeth (Sites) Barr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ora "Bill" Kimble and one brother, Roland Barr.
Mrs. Kimble graduated from Petersburg High School in 1948 and in 1966 graduated from Shepherd College. She received her Bachelor Degree and later pursued her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Grant County for over 50 years and retired in 1986, but spent her early retirement years substituting in the Grant County School System. She was a member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church.
Wilda is survived by her son, Leslie E. Kimble of Maysville, WV; five grandchildren, Nicole Minnich, Chanda Rohrbaugh, Mindy Evans, Lindsey Outlaw and Matthew Kimble; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; three sisters, Louise Vance of Petersburg, WV, Irene Webster of Durgon, WV and Linda Turner of Petersburg, WV; three brothers, Harvey Barr of Petersburg, WV, Carl Barr of Shepherdstown, WV and Wayne Barr of Laurel, Delaware; sister-in-law, Kitty Lou Barr of Petersburg, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be Friday, March 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Bergdoll officiating. Interment will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Charity of Choice.
