Vivan K. Alt

Vivan Keith Alt, age 76, of 480 Hoopengomer Road, Petersburg, WV passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Grant Memorial Hospital..
He was born October 1, 1940 in Grant County, WV and was a son of the late Glenn Evers Alt and Dora Alice (Judy) Alt Moyers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn E. Alt, Jr. and Curley Joe Moyers; father-in-law, Elton L. Perrin and brother-in-law, Darwin Perrin.

Mr. Alt was an automobile mechanic for Roby Ford Company, B & G Ford Company and later retired from Southern States Corp. in Moorefield, WV.
He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Petersburg, WV.

Vivan is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Charlene K. (Perrin) Alt, one son, Blaine K. Alt and wife Lois of Circleville, WV; one grandson, Marcus B. Alt of Maysville, WV; step grandson, Brent Warner of Circleville, WV; Mother-in-law, Sylvia Perrin of Petersburg, WV; four brothers, Luther (Cleo) Alt of Petersburg, WV, Roger (Linda) Moyers of Moorefield, WV, Alfred (Bonnie) Moyers of Dorcas, WV and Gary (Peggy) Moyers of Petersburg, WV; one sister, Shirley (Larry) VanMeter of Cabins, WV; two sister-in-laws, Judy Moyers of Petersburg, WV and Cindy Alt of Petersburg, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Reed and Rev. Mark McAllister officiating.
Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, WV.
