Mrs. Vera Mae (Bonner) Michael, age 76, of Fisher, WV died Friday at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.
She was born March 8, 1939 in Dry Fork, WV and was a daughter of the late William S. Bonner and late Geneva Marie (Huffman) Raines.
In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her first husband, Royal D. "Bud" Thompson on November 27, 1971 and her second husband, Thomas A. Michael on March 11, 2007; step father, Clair E. Raines; an infant granddaughter, Melissa Ann Thompson.
Mrs. Michael was a cook for Sites Restaurant in Petersburg for several years.
Vera is survived by one son, Johnny W. (Barbara) Thompson of Riverton, WV; four daughters, Linda L. (James) Rexrode of Sugar Grove, WV, Brenda K. (Mark) Simmons of Snowy Mountain, WV, Sarah L. (Bill) Wheeler Culpepper, VA and Anna M. Thompson of Riverton, WV; three grandchildren, Travis Simmons, Jessie Simmons and Samantha Burgamy; and two great grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Burgamy.
Family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard L. Longbon officiating. Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
