Sarah Mae Strosnider

Sarah Mae Strosnider, age 92, of Purgitsville, WV passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Grant County Nursing Home.

She was born August 19, 1922 in Purgitsville, WV and was a daughter of the late John Wesley Haggerty and Daisy Elizabeth (Agnew) Haggerty.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Clifton Strosnider November 6, 1966; infant great grandson, Leeland Crossland; two brothers, Cecil M. Haggerty and James W. Haggerty; and one niece, JoAnn Webster.

Mrs. Strosnider was an librarian assistant for the Hardy County Public Library in Moorefield and was a member of the Old Fields Baptist Church.

Mrs. Strosnider is survived by three daughters, Wanda (Sidney) Keplinger of Moorefield, WV and Ellen (Donald) Harper of Moorefield, WV and Clarice Roscoe) Ours of Purgitsville, WV and one son, Clifton R. (Cindy) Strosnider of Petersburg, WV; nine grandchildren, Melanie (Alex) Eccard, Amanda (Herman) Malcolm, Jeremy (Jill) Crossland, Jennifer (Jerry) Smith, Heather Strosnider, Jonathan Crossland, Kara (Bill) Riggleman, Roy Ours and Adam Roy Strosnider; seven great grandchildren, Amber Murphy, James Crossland, Katelyn Crossland, Marguerite Eccard, Lucas Riggleman, Matthew Riggleman and Branson Smith; one niece, Arlene High of Purgitsville, WV.

Family will receive friends Monday 6 - 8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Sterns officiating.

Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery on Mountain View Road, Purgitsville, WV.
