Ruth Runion Obituary
Ruth Merle (Stump) Runion, age 93, of Petersburg, WV went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Grant Rehabilitation Center in Petersburg, WV.
She was born February 6, 1923 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Edward Harrison Stump and Sadie Florence (Yokum) Stump.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max L. Runion, Sr. on March 23, 1991; three sisters, Eurania "Ducky" Stump Riggleman, Mary Lou Stump Bonnett and Iona Stump Rose; two brothers, Jesse Junior Stump and C. Ray Stump, Sr.
Mrs. Runion was a member of the Petersburg Church of God.
Ruth is survived by one son: Max Lynn (Myra) Runion, Jr. of Petersburg, WV
Two daughters: Joan (Bob) Gunn of Effingham, IL
Catherine Schroeder of Sharpsville, IN
Thirteen grandchildren, Thirty great grandchildren and Three great-great grandchildren
One sister: Mrs. Georgia Stump Whetzel of Petersburg, WV
One brother: Grant (Mayselle) Stump of Florida
Several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from Noon till 2:00 P.M. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Aaron A. Davidson officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family, c/o Schaeffer Funeral Home, 11 North Main Street, Petersburg, WV 26847.
