Ronald L. VanMeter

Ronald Lew VanMeter, age 62, of Upper Tract, WV departed this life, Thursday, October 1, 2015.
He was born March 29, 1953 in West Virginia and was a son of the late Lester William VanMeter and Dorothy Marie (Helmick) VanMeter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita (Poole) VanMeter; two nephews, David William "Bill"VanMeter and Michael Lester VanMeter.

Ronnie graduated from Franklin High School in 1972. He was a certified welder and later worked for American Woodmark in Moorefield, WV until he was disabled. He was a member of the Christian Motorcyle Association (C.M.A.)

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Jeannie A. (Jarrels) VanMeter of Upper Tract, WV; two daughters, Dawn Marie VanMeter and Rhonda Lou (VanMeter) Lofton both of Petersburg, WV; four grandchildren, Cassie Leigh (Kesner) Shanholtz, Rebekah Dawn Kesner, Davonna Ketterman and Kodie Lofton; four step children and three step grandchildren; five brothers, Lester David (Elaine) VanMeter Sr. of Petersburg, WV, twin brother, Donald Lee (Ruth) VanMeter of Upper Tract, WV, Michael T. (Ruth) VanMeter of Upper Tract, WV and Lester D. "Pete" (Susan) VanMeter of Upper Tract, WV and Michael L. "Bubbles" VanMeter of Moorefield, WV; one sister, Cathy (Jim) Pence of Franklin, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Monday, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. (October 5, 2015) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg,WV.

In accordance with Mr. VanMeter's wishes his body will be cremated.
