Roland L. Turner

Roland Lee Turner, age 71, of Dolly Town Road, Cabins, WV passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 20, 1944 in Seneca Rocks, WV and was the son of the late Marvin Eston Turner and Annie Edna (Nelson) Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Maxine (Turner) Ours; brother-in-law, Andy Ours and Father and Mother-in-law, Kate Mallow and Harry Vance.

Roland graduated from Circleville High School in 1961. He was a carpenter forman in the Washington, D.C. area. He attended Riverside Church on Dolly Town Road, Cabins, WV.

Roland is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol S. (Mallow) Turner; one daughter, Kandy Kay Turner of Chester, PA; two sisters, Marlene Ours of Cabins, WV and Delores Keplinger and husband, "Sonny" of Maysville, WV; brother-in-law, John Ours of Cabins, WV, special in laws, Dice and Carol Mallow of Petersburg, WV and Roy and Judy Mallow of Maysville, WV; an aunt, Dora Whetzel of Petersburg, WV; several nieces, nephews, cousins and his special Grand Dog, Buddy.

Family will receive friends Monday, August 31, 2015 from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy George and Rev. Colman Clark officiating. Interment will be in the Mallow Cemetery, Middle Timber Ridge, on Bennett Gap Road, Riverton, WV.
