Richard Chica Obituary

Richard Joseph "Dick" Chica, age 87, of Maysville, WV passed away on Thursday,
October 15, 2015 at the Grant County Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

He was born May 7, 1928 in Hibbing, MN and was a son of the late Dimitrious Chica and Anna (Musich) Chica. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Michele Ann Chica Brown; one brother, James Chica and one sister, Betty Chica Johnson.

Mr. Chica joined the United States Marine Corps when he was 17 years old. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years. He was a computer programmer for the Federal Government for 20 years before retiring.
He moved to West Virginia in 1989. He was extremely generous to his friends and all that knew him. He loved animals, expecially his cats.

Mr. Chica is survived by three daughters, Joan Frost of Lynchburg, VA., Kathy Kennedy of Wheeling, WV and Diann Chica of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren, Kristin Frost of New York, NY and Brian Frost of Lynchburg, VA; three great-grandchildren, Brianca Cothran, Brooklyn Frost and Brylee Frost; and one sister, Cathy Chica Voegel of Minneapolis, MN.

Mr. Chica's body will be cremated. There will be no services at the funeral home.
