Phyllis Michael Obituary
Phyllis Vance Michael, age 84, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Grant Rehabilitation Care Center in Petersburg.
She was born January 30, 1931 in Fisher, WV and was the daughter of the late Anton M. Keller and Trixanna (Vance) Keller. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merl Darwin Michael on May 28, 2006; one sister, Nellie Keller.
Phyllis was a loving Mother and Grandmother. Phyllis was a homemaker and loved working outdoors. She attended the Main Street United Methodist Church and Grace Lutheran Church in Petersburg. She enjoyed working with the Church Women especially with the Burlington Childrens Home.
Mrs. Michael is survived by one son, Michael D. Michael of Gambrills, MD; three daughters, Lisa L. Pratt and husband Frank of Moorefield, WV, Loria A. Helmick and husband Timothy of Morgantown, WV and Laura L. Roth and husband Mark of Morgantown, WV; eight grandchildren, Brenda Michael, William, Ashton and Briana Pratt, Erika and Allison Helmick, Shannon and Skyler Roth; one brother, Robert Keller and wife Mary Jo of Fisher, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Monday, July 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Larry M. Cantu officiating. Interment will follow in the Shobe Cemetery, Petersburg. WV.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Phyllis V. Michael to Grace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 385, Petersburg, WV or Charity of Choice.
