Nellie Kimble Obituary
Nellie Mae (Waldron) Kimble, age 86, resident of Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center and formerly of Cabins, WV passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Grant Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 25, 1930 in Cabins, WV and was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Waldron and Zernie Mae (Heavener) Waldron.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. "Bud" Kimble on October 24, 2013; four brothers, Melvin "Meb" Waldron, Robert "Bob" Waldron Brosie A. Waldron and an infant brother.
Nellie was a homemaker and previously worked at Windsor Knit Sewing Factory, Joan Curtis Manufacturing and Monarch Mills. After her retirement she worked with her daughter in the greenhouse which is known now as Carol's Place. Mrs. Kimble is a member of Corner United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Kimble is survived by one daughter, Carol Ketterman and husband George of Cabins, WV, two sons, Jerry Kimble and wife Lucy of Cabins, WV and Larry Kimble and wife Anne of Cabins, WV; 3 grandchildren, Crystal Mallow and husband Rodney, Larry A. "Buck" Kimble and Melinda Vance and husband Duane; 9 great grandchildren, Whitney Rohrbaugh, Heather Mallow, Ashley Kimble, Angela Rainer, Kaitlyn Kimble, Tony Long, Elizabeth Long, Sara Vance and Anna Marie Vance; 2 great-great grandchildren Hunter Blake Rohrbaugh and Gracie Mae Rohrbaugh; four sisters, Ruth M. Brackin of Trinity, TX, Mary A. Largen of Cabins, WV, Betty J. Martin of Martinsburg, WV and Nancy L. Dove of Cabins, WV; two brothers, Charles Waldron Jr. of Maysville, WV and Roscoe Waldron of Petersburg, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday, April 29, 2016 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Schaffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Gerstell and Rev. Coleman Clark officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery on Ridge Road, Maysville, WV.
