Mary Zirk Obituary
Mary Virginia ( McDonald) Zirk, age 82, of New Oxford, PA and formerly of Arthur, WV passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA.
She was born September 15, 1932 in Old Fields, WV and was a daughter of the late George and Lula Mae (Shears) McDonald.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Zirk on January 17, 1995; one daughter, Debbie Zirk Lamma; one son, David Lee Zirk; infant granddaughter, two brothers, Bill McDonald and Charles McDonald; two sister, Loretta Hose and Louise Shockey.
Mrs. Zirk was employed at Rocco Poultry in Edinburg, VA. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Moorefield, WV.
Mrs. Zirk is survived by three daughters, Edith (German) Valentin of New Oxford, PA, Judith Perez of Edinburg, VA and Sylvia ( John) Naugle of East Berlin, PA; one son, Johnny Zirk of Edinburg, VA; 17 grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Greg "Pudge", Tanya, Joey, Josh, Lindsie, Cassie, Jonathon, Travis, Brandon, Jason, Tina, Ruthie, Jenny, Greg and Jermey; 25 great grandchildren, including Conner, Austin, Reice, Shauntae, Ian, Lexi, Kobe, Amy, Alex, Billy, Dakota and Eric; one great-great granddaughter Hazel; two sisters, Anna Kuykendall of Biglerville, PA and Remonia (Jim) Masters of Petersburg, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, (February 5, 2015) from 6-8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 12 noon at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Duane Tackett officiating.
Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
