Mary Sites Obituary
Mary Dell (Ours) Sites, age 87, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Petersburg, WV passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown, MD.
She was born August 31, 1927 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Hobert Edward Ours and Laura Dell (Thorne) Helmick Ours.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 62 years, Orvan "Pete" Guy Sites Sr. on February 17, 2012; one sister, Lucy (Ours) Hedrick Boor and four half brothers, Robert, Elton, Ervin and John Helmick.
Mrs. Sites was a graduate of Petersburg High School and a member of the Brake Church of the Brethren, in Dorcas, WV. She was employed with Valley Feed and Supply and W.H. VanMeter and Son of Petersburg. Before retiring, she was also employed with Zimmerman Wholesalers in Hagerstown, MD as a bookkeeper.
She is survived by son, Orvan "Pete" Guy Sites Jr. and wife Jennifer and grandson, Mark Sites and wife Rebecca all of Hagerstown, MD.
Funeral service will be Monday, June 29, 2015, at 12 Noon at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Howard officiating. Interment will follow at the Brake Cemetery, Dorcas, WV.
Family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. till time of service at Noon.
Memorial donations may be made in the memory of Mary Dell Sites to the Brake Cemetery, c/o Justin Thorne, 17 South Main Street, Petersburg, WV or to charity of choice.
