M. Paugh Obituary

M. Carroll Paugh, age 87, of Middle River, MD and formerly of Mount Storm, WV died Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Riverview Rehabilitation and Health Center in Essex, MD.
He was born March 8, 1927 in Gormania, WV and was the son of the late Riley and Bertha (Bosley) Paugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie V. Paugh and infant Ardvern Allen Paugh; two sisters, Madeline Lyons and Wilma L. Almony. Mr. Paugh was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Paugh served in the United States Navy during World War II. He earned his high school diploma from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and graduated from West Virginia University in Morgantown. After teaching for four years at Sparrows Point High School in Baltimore County, MD, he returned to Baltimore Polytechnic Institute where he taught mathematics for 26 years. He was a member of the Middle River Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maralee (Goode) Paugh; three sons, C. Allen Paugh of Bowie, MD., Mitchell G. Paugh of Bowling Green, KY and Roger S. Paugh of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (January 6, 2015) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Rebecca L. Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Alkire Cemetery at Mount Storm, WV with military rites by the VFW Post 6454 and the United States Navy.
