Lois Via Obituary
Lois Elizabeth (Painter) Via, age 89, of 956 Towlston Road, McLean, VA 22102 and formerly of Lahmansville, WV departed this life on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at her home.
She was born April 5, 1926 in Akron, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Harman Talmadge Painter and Myrtle Ellen (Jones) Painter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, just a month ago on September 26, 2015, Shirley (Painter) White; one brother, Paul R. Painter; and two step daughters, Virginia Carroll and Kathleen Via.
Mrs. Via graduated from Petersburg High School in 1944. She was a member of Lahmansville United Methodist Church and attended Bethel Baptist Church in McLean, VA.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, D. Vincent Via; step son-in-law, Wayne Carroll; step granddaughter, Beth Carroll; one sister, Kathryn Morrison of Maysville, WV; sister-in-law, Eleanor Painter of Maysville, WV nephews, Larry (Aileen) Porter, Mark Porter and David G. White; and nieces, Ellen (Doug) Rexrode, Bonnie Hoff and Sherry O'Berry and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Lahmansville United Methodist Church with her Pastor, James Dubbs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Interment will follow in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
