Linwood Carroll Ours, age 61, of Petersburg, WV passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Veterans Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
He was born February 2, 1953 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Paul S. Ours and Carol C. (Hosley) Ours.
Linwood graduated from Petersburg High School in 1971 and served in the United States Army in the Desert Storm Era. He was a life member of the Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454.
He was a security officer for Pilgrims Pride in Moorefield, WV.
Surviving four daughters, Dusty Dawn Ours of Petersburg, WV, Brandy (David) Keller of Myrtle Beach, SC, Desiree D. (Matthew) Rinehart of Lahmansville, WV and Shauna Lynn Ours of Broadway, VA; Six grandchildren, Colin Redman, Devon McCauley, Destiny Helmick, Dylan Miles, Norah Keller and Eston Keller; one brother, Reggie (Christine) Ours of Morgantown, WV and one sister, Melissa Ours of Petersburg, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Saturday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Rotruck officiating.
Burial will be in the Ours Family Cemetery at Landes, WV with military honors by the Petersburg VFW Post 6454 .
