Kenneth Carol "Hump" Barger, age 72, of 5708 Jordan Run Road, Maysville, WV passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
He was born May 4, 1943 in Jordan Run, WV and was the son of the late Brook Barger and Ressie Velma (Kimble) Barger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Clayford Barger, Carl Edgar Barger and infant, Loy Barger; one grandson, Jesse Ray Ours.
Kenneth worked for Allegheny Mining Corp in Mount Storm, WV. He was a member of North Fork Ruritan Club and West Virginia Sheriffs Association. He was a member of Jordan Run Union Church.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ronda K. (Pennington) Barger; three sons, Carroll K."Butch" Barger and wife Amanda of Petersburg, WV, Greg A. "Peanut" and wife Trina of Maysville, WV and Brandon K. Barger of Fisher, WV; four grandchildren, Cory Ours of Salisbury, NC, Nikita Sutherland of Augusta, WV Brandon Barger II and Isaac Barger of Fisher, WV and two great grandchildren, William Sutherland and Kaylee Sutherland; one brother, Bobby Barger of Maysville, WV and one sister, Glenna Waldron and husband June of Maysville, WV. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Jordon Run Union Church on Jordan Run Road, Maysville, WV with Pastor Charles Stoner officiating.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Maysville Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 434, Maysville, WV 26833 or Hurst Hospitality House, 1830 Amhurst Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
