Kathryn Alt Obituary
Kathryn Virginia Alt, age 92, of Petersburg, WV passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Grant County Nursing Home.
She was born October 25, 1921 in Fisher, WV and was a daughter of the late Otha M. Hinkle and Carrie (Smith) Hinkle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold W. Hinkle, Otha E. "June" Hinkle and Lloyd J. Hinkle; and one sister, Carolyn Hinkle Skinner.
Kathryn was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Petersburg, WV.
Mrs. Alt is survived by her husband of 68 years, Earl H. Alt , one son, Earl Alt Jr. and wife Angie of Romney, WV, two grandchildren, Dr. Kara Alt of Moorefield, WV and Travis E. Alt of Romney, WV; three sisters, Emma Runion of Petersburg, WV, Sandra Coby of Moorefield, WV and Judy Eye of Harrisonburg, VA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 11 a.m. (October 21, 2014) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. David E. Krause officiating.
Burial will be in the South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Assembly of God Church, PO Box 546, Petersburg, WV or Grant County Nursing Home, 127 Early Avenue, Petersburg, WV 26847.
