Gerald "Jerry" Beard

Gerald William "Jerry" Beard, age 75, of 1237 Franklin Pike, Petersburg, WV went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.
He was born September 4, 1939 in Danville, Ohio and was a son of the Delbert William Beard and Villa Marie (Mills) Beard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Annette Marie Beard; one brother, Delbert Devilla Beard; one step son, George Edward "Jerry" Cummings.

Mr. Beard was an automobile salesman and was a member of the Watchman Quartet in Manassas, VA. He was a roof estimator for Top Construction in Greenbelt, MD.
Mr. Beard and his wife moved to West Virginia in 2011 was a member of Maysville Bible Brethren Church.

Mr. Beard is survived by his wife, Leona (Dice) Beard of Petersburg, WV; one brother, Will (Ruth) Beard of Shawnee, Oklahoma; four step daughters, Eleanor (Carroll) Warner of Maysville, WV, Phyllis (Claude) Sweeney of Stafford, VA, Deborah Wager of Martinsburg, WV and Margaret McNabb of Manassas, VA; one step son, "Buckie" (Lynnie) Cummings of Martinsburg, WV; eighteen step grandchildren, 29 step great grandchildren; three great -great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday (April 4, 2015) from 2:00 till 3:30 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lynn Durbin officiating. Interment will be in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.

Family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
