Elwood Ketterman Obituary
Elwood Wayne Ketterman, age 61, of Petersburg, WV passed away Sunday,
March 23, 2014 at his home.
He was born March 21, 1953 in Grant County, WV and was a son of the late Cletus W. Ketterman and Naomi V. (Mongold) Ketterman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, infant Johnny Benjamin Ketterman and Ricky Joe Ketterman.
He worked for the former Kessel Lumber Company from 1977 to 2006. He loved the outdoors, hunting, gardening and dining in restaurants with his family.
He is survived by one son, Joey Allen Ketterman; four brothers, Cletus Junior Ketterman of Maysville, WV, Jerry W. Ketterman of Petersburg, WV, Bruce A. Ketterman and wife, Geraldine "Jerri" of Arthur, WV and Danny L. Ketterman and wife Peggy Ann of Petersburg, WV; four sisters, Linda Bensenhaver of Petersburg, WV, Bonnie Lockney and husband Jim of Petersburg, WV, Nancy Shook and husband Junior of Petersburg and Eleanor Keplinger and husband Randy of Lahmansville, WV; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Thursday 11 a.m. (March 27, 2014) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Sites Cemetery on Elkhorn Road, Dorcas, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ketterman family, c/o Schaeffer Funeral Home.
