Dorothy Jean (Reel) "Dottie" Sites, age 69, of Moorefield, WV died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
She was born August 25, 1947 in Cabins, WV and was a daughter of the late Edward Charles Reel and Hettie (Carr) Reel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William "Bill" Reel, Branson Reel and Robert Reel; and one sister, Catherine Reel Self Burgess.
Dorothy was a legal secretary for the late Attorney Harry McCulloh Law Firm for over thirty years. She later retired from Alleghany Wood Products in Petersburg after 12 years. Dorothy was a member of Baker Chapel United Methodist Church.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bruce Sites; her daughter, Amanda Sites Roberson and husband David of Short Gap, WV; one granddaughter, Madalyn Roberson and two step grandchildren, Jordan Roberson and Noah Roberson; one sister, Anne Shepherd of Cold Brook, NY and two brothers, Edgar (Etta) Reel of Moorefield, WV and David (Patsy) Reel of Baker, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 17, 2017, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Rebecca Van Stavern officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, WV.
Memorial donations may be made to Petersburg High School Scholarship Fund, 89 River View Drive, Petersburg, WV 26847 or Moorefield High School Scholarship Fund, 401 Main Street, Moorefield, WV 26836.
