Dorothy Berg Kesner

Dorothy Catherine (Weese) Berg Kesner, age 87, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at her home.
She was born April 4, 1928 in Maysville, WV and was the daughter of the late Berkeley Osburn Weese and Grace Charlotte (Keplinger) Weese.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Foster Walter Berg and her second husband, Melvin Oren Kesner; an infant daughter, Madeline Grace Berg; one granddaughter, Ginger Marie Feaster; sister, Louella (Weese) Leason and infant twin brother and sister, Paul Eugene Weese and Joann Weese; one brother, Harry Weese.

Dorothy was a former nurses aid for Grant Memorial Hospital and Romney Nursing Home. She had been employed by Windsor Knit Sewing Factory in Petersburg. She was a member of Cornerstone Family Fellowship Church in Petersburg.

Dorothy is survived by three sons, Steve E. Berg and wife Geraldine of Petersburg, WV, Orlando Berg and wife Barbara of Maysville, WV and Gerald Berg of Capon Bridge, WV; three daughters, Juanita Feaster and husband Reggie of Maysville, WV, Angie Alt and husband Earl of Romney, WV and Linda Hawk and husband Allen of Scherr, WV; twenty grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jane Fontazza of Baltimore, MD and Nancy Helmick of Moorefield, WV; and one brother, David Weese and wife Shirley of Moorefield, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen B. Landis officiating. Interment will follow in the Keplinger Family Cemetery near Maysville, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Dorothy Kesner to the Cornerstone Family Fellowship Church, 1516 Lunice Creek Highway, Petersburg, WV 26847.
