Dorothy Connell Obituary
Dorothy Evaline (Moreland) Connell, age 87, of Petersburg, WV and formerly of Gaithersburg, MD passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Grant Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 29, 1929 in Scherr, WV and was the daughter of the late Isaac Albert Moreland and Anna Ruth (Jones) Moreland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Leonard Connell in 1992; one sister, Rosalee Ellen Moreland ; nine brothers, Glenville Albert Moreland, Victor Odell Moreland, Lelon Edward Moreland, Loyal Auston Moreland, Dale Junior Moreland, Virgil Edward Moreland, William Coyd Moreland, Harold Wayne Moreland and Charles Delano Moreland.
Mrs. Connell was a member of the Brick Church of the Brethren in Maysville, WV.
She is survived by one son, Dudley Connell and wife Sally of Gaithersburg, MD; two grandchildren, Charles Leonard Connell and Emily Rose Connell; two sisters, Anna Yvonne Fawley of Franklin, WV and Genevieve Kessel of Scherr, WV; two brothers, James Richard Moreland of Scherr, WV and Donnie Earl Moreland of Elk Garden, WV.
Mrs. Connell will be buried beside her husband. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Gaithersburg, MD.
