Delphia M. Ours

Delphia Mae Ours, age 84, of Moorefield, WV passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

She was born on December 3, 1933 at Critestown, WV and was the daughter of the late Lemuel and Ada (Baldwin) Crites. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 64 years, Leon Ours. She was also preceded in death by one great grandson, Luke Ours, four brothers, Harvey, Tommy, Wardney and Lucky Crites, one sister, Betty Crites, six sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, three nephews, one niece and two great nephews.

Mrs. Ours was a home maker, gardener and baker. She had the incredible ability to bring joy and laughter everywhere she went. She never met a stranger. Most of all she was a fabulous mother, grandmother and friend to all. She attended the Believer's Victory Center in Moorefield, WV.

She is survived by -

Roger (Sharon) Ours of Old Fields, WV

3 daughters: Kathy (Leroy) Whetzel of South Fork, WV
Barbara (Allen) See of Moorefield, WV
Karen (Greg) Riggleman of South Fork, WV

14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren

3 brothers: Jackie (Shirley) Crites of Critestown, WV

Bobby Crites of Critestown,WV

2 sisters: Mary Pratt of Moorefield, WV
Josephine (Albert) Crites of Fisher, WV

Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the Believer's Victory Center, 160 Victory Lane, Rt. 48 West, Moorefield, WV with her grandson officiating, Pastor Chris Whetzel. Interment will follow at the Ours Family Cemetery, Rough Run, WV.
