Cloda Kisamore Obituary
Cloda Belle (Whetzel) Kismore, age 85, of Arthur Road, Petersburg, WV passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at Grant Memorial Hospital.
She was born October 26, 1929 in Smoke Hole, WV and was a daughter of the late Albert Milton Whetzel and Martha Jane ( Alt) Whetzel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Asa H. Kisamore Sr. in March 1983; one daughter, Joan Marie Kisamore, one granddaughter, Angela Dawn Kisamore, an infant great grandson, Cooper VanMeter; two son-in-laws, William "Bill" Alt and Ronald "Ronnie" Burgess; five brothers, Ora Whetzel, Charles Whetzel, Vernon Whetzel, John Whetzel and Curtis Whetzel; four sisters, Arbutus Kesner, Rhoda Berg, Anna Marie Bennett and Infant Geneva Whetzel.
Mrs. Kisamore retired from Hesters Industries in Moorefield, WV and was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Arthur, WV.
Cloda is survived by three sons, Asa H. Kisamore Jr. and wife Bonnie, David E. Kisamore and Gary A. Kisamore and wife Sherry all of Petersburg, WV; four daughters, Patrica Alt of Keyser, WV, Shirley Whetzel and husband Delmas of Petersburg, WV; Sandra Burgess of Maysville, WV and Wanda Bosley and husband Ronnie of Petersburg, WV; step daughter, Mary Sue Pierson of El Paso, TX; ten grandchildren, William Alt Jr., Heather Currier, Delmas Whetzel II, Denise VanMeter, Timothy Lahman, Alicia VanMeter, Ronnie Bosley II, Eric Bosley, Joshua Kisamore, and Samantha Kisamore; twenty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, her twin sister, Clara Nell Ours of Cabins, WV and Ruth Engle of Purgitsville, WV and one brother, Albert Whetzel Jr. of Petersburg, WV.
Family will receive friends Sunday 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating. Interment will follow in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Kisamore to the Lahmansville Cemetery.
