Charles Agnew Obituary

Charles Thompson Agnew, age 75, of Mt. Storm, WV passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his home.
He was born December 16, 1939 in Rada, WV,Hampshire County and was a son of the late Carl Thompson Agnew and Mary Edith (Didawick) Agnew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Pauline (Day) Agnew on February 27, 2011; one brother, Marshall Agnew.

Mr. Agnew was a heavy equipment operator for Buffalo Coal Company. He was a member of Nethken Hill United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Agnew is survived by two sons, Roy Agnew of Mt. Storm, WV and John (Joelle) Agnew of Purgitsville, WV; three daughters, Joyce Agnew of Elk Garden, WV, Anna (Michael) Funk of Maysville WV and Carol (David) Ludwig of Maysville, WV; Eleven grandchildren, Crystal Spaid, Joshua Funk, Ashley Agnew, Christine Shook, Charles A. Agnew, Roy Agnew Jr., Kaitlynn Simpson, Clarissa Funk, Kailee Simpson, Remington Agnew, David Ludwig Jr. and nine great grandchildren; one sister, Sandy (Marshall) Johnson of Bayard, WV and his devoted pet dog, Queenie.

Family will receive friends Friday 2 - 8 p.m. at the Nethken Hill United Methodist Church in Elk Garden, WV.

Funeral service will be Saturday 11 a.m. (March 14, 2015) at the Nethken Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Angel Alt officiating. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery on Bismarck Road, Mt. Storm, WV.
