Carol B. Leeson

Carol (Bensenhaver) Leeson, age 75, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Grant Rehabilitation Care Center in Petersburg.
She was born October 31, 1939 in Petersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late Vance and Goldie (Riggleman) Bensenhaver.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Leeson in 1999; one sister, Vista Jean Ours; half sister, Ila Louise Burns; and one special niece, Christine Cook.

Carol graduated from Petersburg High School in 1957 and attended Potomac State College. She was employed with the West Virginia Department of Health & Human Resources for several years and retired from Mountain Heart Child Care Resources.
She was a member of the Petersburg Presbyterian Church and pianist for the choir for several years. She was Past Matron of the Moorefield Chapter 102 Order of the Eastern Star.

Carol is survived by two brothers, Vance W. "Sonny" Bensenhaver Jr. and wife, Shelby of Petersburg, WV and John Calvin Bensenhaver and wife, Margaret of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces and nephews, Craig Bensenhaver, Lisa Scott, Heidi Behan and Richard Ours.

Carols wishes were to be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
