Carla Stump Whetzel

Carla Ann (Stump) Whetzel, age 41, of Lahmansville, WV passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
She was born January 24, 1973 in Petersburg, WV and was the daughter of Carl L. Stump of Moorefield, WV and Patsy (Saville) Vaughn of Moorefield, WV.

Carla was preceded in death by materal grandfather, Wendell Saville; paternal grandparents, Robert and Hazel Stump.

Carla is survived by her parents, and step mother, Shelby Stump of Moorefield, WV and step father, Steve Vaughn of Moorefield, WV; maternal grandmother, Mae Saville of Kirby, WV; Also surviving her husband of 16 ½ years, Timmy W. Whetzel of Lahmansville, WV; two daughter, Mycala Marie Whetzel and Kinsey Brooke Whetzel at home; father and mother-in-law, Gary and Janet Whetzel of Petersburg, WV; four step brothers, Troy Turner of Romney, WV; Chris Turner of Capon Bridge, WV, Joe Turner of Moorefield, WV and Michael Vaughn of Delaware; two step sisters, Kim Whetzel of Mathias, WV and Carrie Hyre of Petersburg, WV.

Carla graduated from Moorefield High School in 1991. She was employeed by American Woodmark in Moorefield, WV until her illness and was a member of Maysville United Methodist Church.

Family will receive friends Thursday 6 - 9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
Funeral service will be Friday (January 9, 2015) at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Gerstell officiating.

Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery at Maysville, WV.
