Bobby J. Hartman

Bobby Joseph Hartman, age 73, of Petersburg, WV passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at Grant Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 28, 1940 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Olie D. Hartman and Nettie J. (Alexander) Hartman.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Hartman Sr. and Olie Junior Hartman and one nephews, Joey Hartman.

Bobby graduated from Petersburg High School in 1958 and served in the United States Navy for 4 years. He worked for SCM Allied Egry until the closing and later retired from Allegheny Dimensions. He was a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Dorothy "Dottie" (Alt) Hartman; his son, Michael J. Hartman and wife, Lynn of Arthur, WV and his daughter, Stacey Longbon and husband Jon of Mill Creek, WV; four grandchildren, Brandon Hartman, Devon Hartman, Joshua Longbon and Kelsey Longbon; two sisters, Myrtle J. Feaster of Hanahan, S.C. and Charlotte Schoumacher and husband Roger of Fort Collins, Colorado and a sister-in-law, Martha Hartman of Petersburg, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Thursday 11 a.m. (March 20, 2014) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Rotruck officiating.

Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, WV.

Memorials may be made to the Bethel Church of the Brethren or Gideons International.
