Blanche K. Harman

Violet Blanche (Kesner) Harman, age 93, of Mozer, WV passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 in the Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV.

Mrs. Harman was born February 26, 1922 on Kesner Mountain, and was the daughter of the late John William and Mary Otha (Smith) Kesner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Isaac Harman in 1986; her daughter, Patsy Darlene Harman Casto; two grandchildren, Edward Brian Harman on October 11, 2013 and an infant grandson; one sister, Evelyn Kesner Cornell and one brother, Stan Kesner.

Mrs. Harman was a graduate of Franklin High School and was a faithful member of the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. She was president of the Mt. Horeb Ladies Aid for many years and was known for her homecooked meals and delicious baked goods. She was a wonderful Mom and Grandmother and was Loved by all.

Mrs. Harman is survived by her daughter, Judith Lynn (Thomas) Patch of Mozer, WV and her son, Gary Stanley (Ramona) Harman of Mozer, WV; son-in-law, Marlin Casto of Mozer, WV; four grandchildren, Donna (Leonard) Mallow, John Casto, Rob (Lisa) Vance and Kerri Harman; granddaughter-in-law, Shannon Harman; eight great granddaughters, Victoria (Jordan) Mongold, Nissa (Charles) Bishop, Tara Mallow, Seara Mallow, Trina Mallow, Trinity Vance, Kayla Elizabeth Harman and Johnna Lilly Harman; step great granddaughter, Cary Blackburn; one great-great granddaughter, Gracelyn Mongold and two more great-great grandchildren on the way; one sister, Arletta Sears of Petersburg, WV and one brother, Jake Kesner of Hopwood, PA.

Family will receive friends Wednesday 6 - 9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church with Pastor Gary Reed and Pastor Rita Beeman officiating. Interment will be in the Kline Cemetery, Kline, WV.
